The 13-5 Blue Raiders are now 2-2 at the Spring Games after splitting today's competition against Georgetown and LIU. Gretchen Mead improved to 4-2 on the year with a complete game shutout vs. Georgetown.
 
Game 1 – MTSU 6, Georgetown 0
 
The Blue Raiders dominated in game one led by Gretchen Mead in the circle. Mead pitched a complete game shutout against the Hoyas allowing only one hit. Shelby Echols was 3-for-3 at the plate with four stolen bases in the game.
 
The early lead for MTSU carried all the way through. Ava Tepe continued to stay hot at the plate with an RBI single that put the Raiders up by four in the third inning. Tepe is now hitting .583 with four RBIs on the weekend, leading the Blue Raiders.
 
Game 2 – MTSU 1, LIU 7
 
The Blue Raiders found themselves battling from behind after a six-run third inning from the Sharks. Then adding another run in the fourth, MTSU ran out of time in the comeback effort.
 
Laura Mealer contributed the first run with a solo home run in the fourth inning. Then she led off the sixth inning with a double where she was left her on base. Amaya Harris contributed the other run with an RBI single.
 
By the Numbers
 
· Gretchen Mead improved to 4-2 on the year after her complete game shutout win in game one.
· Shelby Echols was 3-for-3 at the plate in game one with three stolen bases.
